Cinnamon Raisin Swirl Peanut Butter

I’m sure many of you are PB & CO fans.

If you haven’t tried any of their peanut butters, go out and buy them. I promise you, they are amazing.

A few weeks ago I saw this in Publix.

I had only tried their Dark Chocolate Dreams before and have always been wanting to try more.

If you haven’t noticed I’m one of those nut butter fanatics.

Anyway, I knew I had to buy it.

Once I tried it, I died.

Literally.

It was gone very soon and lately I’ve been interested in making my own nut butter.

I’ve always wanted to try it but never realized how easy it really was.

I stumbled upon this recipe on Healthy Food For Living’s Blog.

I died again.

I knew I had to make it, and if you noticed on yesterday’s post I bought some peanuts and raisins at whole foods.

Make this now.

Directions:

  1. Place peanuts into the bowl of a food processor. Process until peanuts break down into a paste and a ball forms, scraping down the sides as necessary, about 5 minutes.

  1. With the motor running, stream in 1 tsp. oil and process until a smooth butter forms.
  2. Add in the cinnamon, salt, and evaporated cane juice and puree until well-combined. Stream in the remaining 1/2 tsp. canola oil if needed. Remove blade from food processor bowl and stir in the raisins by hand.

Now, I’m sure you will want to taste it while in the process of making it but here’s a tip.

It’s even better after you place in fridge overnight.

ENJOY!
